Job Description

The purpose of this role is to account manage hotels, to drive relationships to achieve profitable sales, and hit margin targets. The ideal candidate will be a relationship-powerhouse, an excellent communicator, and have the ability to negotiate naturally. In addition, the candidate should be motivated by having clear financial targets and must enjoy contributing to the culture of a small, fun, dynamic team.

This role requires an individual whose dual skill-set could paint the following picture (preferably in magenta colours!):

  •  An Administrative powerhouse - The ideal candidate will be someone who can keep on top of multiple work-flows, can analyse data from numerous reporting sources and who maintains attention to detail under pressure. This role has little administrative support.  The successful candidate will not only make the decisions, but will act upon them as well. There is a significant use of various internal systems and an aptitude for learning multiple systems is a must,
  • A Relationship-master-builder – An excellent communicator who can ensure have enduring alliances and friendships in the trade; happy to spend plenty of time out of the office or on the phone making a personal difference- the successful candidate will be able to negotiate naturally at all levels.
  • A Deal-Maker extraordinaire – An ability to source the exclusive supply required by our customers often against difficult market conditions.

Main Responsibilities

  • Responsible for all elements of ongoing account management and developing excellent relationships
  • Contracting new hotels and expanding/exploring new potential hotels & markets
  • Work with suppliers and internal teams to maximise benefit for all sales channels – hotel-only, dynamic-packaging (with flight) and Top Secret hotel program
  • Negotiate deals and secure the best commercial terms with hotels
  • Ensure sufficient availability of hotel rooms to meet demand
  • Negotiate special offers to meet requirements from merchandising and marketing teams
  • Identify promotional opportunities within region (both destination and supplier-led)
  • Track and monitor competitive performance in terms of rate parity and availability parity
  • Attend relevant trade events; visit suppliers on a regular basis; arrange and host supplier appreciation events.


  • Experience/knowledge of the key markets
  • Minimum three years’ experience in online travel agency, hotel or industry related role
  • A history of account management and the ability to promote long-term, mutually beneficial relationships
  • Travel industry contacts within relevant destination and market
  • Commercial Acumen and an analytical approach to problems
  • Ability to present to large groups
  • Good working knowledge of PC applications
  • Aptitude to learn new systems quickly
  • University degree level of education
