Job Description

We’re looking for a Czech translator who is passionate about User Experience and technology, and has an analytical mind. Does this sound like you?

In this role you’ll work alongside an international team of copywriters and creatives. 

We’ll need you to be a native Czech speaker, with a thorough understanding of the country’s culture, in order to expertly localise copy to meet the demands of our Czech customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Localising our website from English to Czech. 
  • Adapting copy provided by the copy team to suit the Czech audience.
  • Creating new copy and providing the sufficient context for it to be adapted and localised for our other markets.  
  • Collaborating with other copywriters to ensure messaging, brand guidelines and TOV are aligned across all touchpoints. 
  • Proofreading and editing copy provided by other departments.

Qualifications

Qualifications, Skills and Experience

  • Languages required: Czech (native), English (fluent). Knowledge of Slovak at mother-tongue level is also advantageous, and experience of working in any other language would also be beneficial. 
  • Experience in localising online products with an emphasis on digital, e-commerce and UX copywriting.
  • Solid written and verbal communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to manage and prioritise multiple projects at one time to meet strict deadlines.
  • Self-starter and an enthusiastic team player.
  • Receptive to feedback, and able to respond and reiterate with creative thinking.
  • Values accuracy and pays close attention to detail, in order to proofread at a high level with little to no errors.
  • Self-motivated, tenacious, and able to use initiative to solve problems.
