Job Description

lastminute.com is looking for a Process and Procedures Analyst for its Tech for Finance team. 
He/she will support the team as a functional analyst for the company project “Renew our Foundations” - a project of business and technology transformation with the aim of  a  new “Design” of the  OTA platform applying an Event Driven Architecture
The main objective will be to analyse business requirements, being the bridge between the different internal stakeholders (legal, tax, finance) and identify possible solutions:

  • to meet the needs of the business simplifying its evolutions 
  • to  highlight what is strategically important in terms of information
  • to “force” the organisation to  best integrate its activities’ flows 

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyse DB, accounts, and transactions to identify and investigate current activities
  • Perform booking analysis  to identify any vulnerabilities
  • Recommend new software tools useful for the analysis 
  • Interact with external and  internal  partners inside Tech Dept  (e.g. Product, Architecture)  and others such as  Legal/Tax, Finance, Commercial Depts  to validate collected information
  • Identification and representation of the possible solutions 
  • Collaborate to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of company systems
  • Support issue resolution and decision making related to Sales and Billing systems 
  • Prepare functional documentation in order to keep track of analysis and solutions identified  

Qualifications

Essentials

  • Degree in Economics, Engineering or similar fields and previous knowledge acquired in your  work experience
  • Deep knowledge of Excel, with good skills in pivot tables, formulas etc
  • Fluent English, written and spoken

Desirable 

  • Basic SQL language
  • Ability to represent functional requirements and processes and solutions design 
  • Previous experience as a business analyst or similar role  
  • Knowledge of Google Suite instrument
