lastminute.com is looking for a Full Stack Developer to support the growth of our business. The candidate will work in our payment area.


Key Responsibilities 

  • Researching, designing, writing and testing new software programs using Agile software methodologies. 
  • Maintaining systems by monitoring, identifying and correcting software defects 
  • Investigating new technologies 
  • Constantly updating technical knowledge and skills by attending in-house and/or external courses, reading manuals and accessing new applications 
  • Problem-solving and lateral thinking as part of a team, or individually, to meet the project needs

Qualifications

Essential

  • 3-5+ years of experience as a Full Stack developer programming in React, Redux, Styled components, Typescript, Jest, Html, Css and in Java/Spring environment during all stages of the classic and agile software cycles 
  • Solid and proven coding background in any domain with Java/javascript language 
  • Willingness to work in an Agile environment 
  • Good knowledge English language
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills 
  • A sense of curiosity to explore new and better ways to solve problems


Desirable

  • Diverse technology knowledge and a sense of curiosity to explore new and better ways to solve problems​ 
  • Knowledge of Kotlin, Kubernetes, Docker, SpringBoot, Spring, Mysql, Mvn, Git, continuous integration
  • Competence in testing techniques like TDD and BDD 
  • Use of and interest in open-source software 
  • "Hobby Project" of interest / open-source contributor
  • MS Degree in Computer Science or Engineering

Hiring Process

Candidates for this position can generally expect a hiring process similar to the following (note that depending on location and availability, the process may be slightly modified and can be completed in its entirety within 2-3 weeks).

  • Selected candidates receive the first feedback on their application from our recruitment team
  • HR interview: We will have a talk of production on technical aspects, experiences and analysis of possible personal scenarios
  • Technical interview: Candidates will have the opportunity to meet our technical leaders while doing a pair session with them using an exercise to evaluate skills. (consider the exercise as a day by day work and it is not important to close all the points of the exercise,  but it is important how you reason on it and how you execute it)
  • Interview follow-up: Candidates will receive feedback from our recruitment team
