Job Description

lastminute.com is looking for a Junior Flight Business Analyst for its team based in Chiasso/Madrid. 

You will be part of a passionate, dynamic and fast-moving team within the Growth department working towards offering our customers the best deals and most relevant airfares available in the marketplace.

We are looking for the right candidate to challenge and optimise our flight portfolio by combining and analysing different data sources to deliver actionable insights for impactful decisions. The role involves creating, reading and sharing analysis with relevant stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify opportunities for growth supported on data analysis and drive stakeholders to make impactful business decisions to ensure the most competitive and relevant fares and products to our customers.
  • Build reports to automate data extraction and create dashboards to facilitate monitoring KPIs .
  • Manage and optimise internal settings to improve overall efficiency by developing effective and scalable solutions

Qualifications

Essential

  • Degree/experience in Business, Economics, Mathematics, Travel or similar fields 
  • Ability to influence others by having great communication skills to share findings and propose actions in an accurate and clear manner. 
  • Strongly motivated and proactive, willing to learn and to bring new ideas.
  • Fully proficient in Excel
  • Basic knowledge of SQL programming language
  • Fluency in English as it will be your day to day working language

Desirable

  • Familiarity with digital and e-commerce business
  • Previous experience from an online travel or airline business with some knowledge on Global Distribution System (GDS) or air content aggregators
